Born in Daejeon, Korea, in 1975.

Lee graduated from the Department of Photography at Korea Central University in 2003, received a master's degree in 2006 and received his PhD in 2007.

He is currently working at the Zandari Gallery in Seoul, South Korea, and is also a lecturer at several universities. The work has won many awards.

His work uses a complex process to create a simple picture of the tree separated from its environment, with a hint of transcendence. In this series called "The Tree," "Photography Behavior" doesn't stop at the click of the shutter.

It seems to us a very different perspective that apart from any other land art, but the Zen style which comes from the northeastern Asian culture.

Look at the tree in a large space to highlight the beauty and uniqueness of the tree itself. Looking at his photography in this way.

Through the artificially designed canvas background, ordinary objects are turned into bodies, stood out from the ordinary wind light.

Trees in this series are all shooting away from their roots, and families. During the shoot, Lee's work uses a complex process to create a simple picture:

By putting a white curtain on the back of them in advance, which turns ordinary trees into the "models" standing in front of the artist, and a 4X5 camera captures the beauty of different trees in different seasons and places.

Lee Ming Ho separates the object from the shooting environment, creating an illusion between the real tree and the painting tree to audiences.

Photography is a difficult self-consciousness, it cannot make objects on its own, but can only reproduce objects, it acts with its own "incomplete interference" to the subject's history.

A new fork of making photo has been created, Lee’s photograph skips the media function as the subject. This working method enables artists to explore what is behind the subject – a link between photography and the subject, aimed at rebuilding a relationship that rejects the consensus that photography cannot express the subject.

It is the relationship between the subject and photography, and the real nature of its consequential content.

This interaction is unique and critical, Lee's methodology subjectively puts "photography" into the object of history.

He often asks questions, which are systematic "photographic behaviour" in the historical reality of alienation, but also "photographic behaviour" produced and strengthened a kind of self-awareness.

He subverted the belief that photographs are truth. He provided a way to be faithful to reality. Just like many eastern Asian artists,Lee loves to self-testing, the"photographic behaviour" open up the pointing function of photography, and he directly points out that the subjective participation function is higher than the media function, which I totally agree with this kind of working method, and it can be applied in other art fields as well.

He further let the audience hear their own voice: we have created a world of absurd civilization and have been forcing themselves to adapt to it, but we can not feel the helplessness of everything to us.
